YOUTH CRICKET AWARDS NIGHT - 31st of August 2011

The annual T.C.C. Youth Cricket Award Night is to be held on Friday 9th September in the clubhouse.

The evening will start at approximately 6-30pm with the U-9 awards and continue through the age groups

Everyone very welcome but, as per previous years, it may be standing room only at peak times in the evening.

QUIZ NIGHTS ARE BACK !!! - 26th of August 2011

After a summer sabbatical, the TCC quiz nights are back with Mark "Fraz" Franklin.

Dust of the encyclopedia and start your swotting now as the first battle commences on THURSDAY 8th SEPTEMBER.

The quiz nights will then be held on every SECOND Thursday in the month i.e. 13th October, 10th November etc...

Get your teams organised and come along - all very welcome.

Under 11 Cup Winners - 25th of July 2011

Thornbury Cricket Club has it's first piece of silverware for the 2011 season courtesy of the Under 11 Red team.

On Sunday (24/7), the side beat Long Ashton by 5 wickets with just 3 balls to spare to win the Bristol Youth Cricket League Dave McCarthy Cup.

Many congratulations to all those involved throughout the competition and a picture of the victorious side can be viewed in the photo gallery.

T.C.C. GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP - 2011 - 4th of July 2011

The 3rd T.C.C. Golf Championship took place last Friday, 1st July, at Thornbury Golf Centre.

28 cricket club members took to the course on a perfect day in order to let iron rather than willow do the talking.

A group competition on the 18 hole Par 3 course was followed by the main event on the main course and, once again, a new Champion was crowned being Steve Hepple (44 points).

Many congratulations to Steve but also a huge thank you to all those who took part and made it such a successful day, mention in particular to event organisers John Wormwell and David Hammond.
