G.C.B. WINTER PERFORMANCE SQUADS - 12th of October 2012

Today has seen the announcement of the Gloucestershire Cricket Board Winter Performance Squads for 2013.

It is with great pride that T.C.C. can reveal that no less than 17 youth team players have made these performance squads, a huge testament not only to the individual players but the whole youth structure, coaching and management at Thornbury Cricket Club.

With an already impressive history of turning out top quality cricket players, the club appear to be making more strides in developing youth talent into professional sportsmen.

Huge congratulations to all those concerned and it already looks like being a very exciting and successful 2013.

MISSING CRICKET BAT - 11th of October 2012

An appeal to anyone who may know the whereabouts of a missing Slazenger cricket bat.

According to its owner it was taken from the TCC home changing room sometime ago but it is hoped that this appeal will ring some bells.

The bat is of far higher sentimental than financial value to the owner and its recovery is of the utmost importance.

Could anyone who knows or remembers anything regarding this bat please contact the website administrator via who in turn will organise its return or pursual.

Many thanks.

WINTER GROUNDFORCE - 2012 - 4th of October 2012

It is that time of year again when TCC calls on everyone to give a hand to put the ground to bed for the winter months.

The Groundforce date is SATURDAY 13th OCTOBER from midday onwards.

The usual jobs require completion and, as ever, more hands make light work.

Please make every effort to attend, even for an hour or so, as no doubt the bar will be made available to quench the thirst (after you've done some work !!).
