MALLITTE WINS FOOTBALL FANTASY LEAGUE - 3rd of June 2009

Greg "Pecker" Mallitte has won the TCC Fantasy Football League run via the premier league website.

After the early running was set by Joe Maiden, the final weeks were contested between Greg and John Wormwell, and to the delight of all participants Greg ended up a comfortable winner and saved months of a gloating Wormers.

Details of how to join the league for the '09/'10 season will be posted shortly as the new football season is only a matter of weeks away !!

CHRIS TAYLOR BENEFIT MATCH - 1st of June 2009

Thornbury C.C. are to host a cricket match as part of Gloucestershire CCC's Chris Taylor benefit year.

The game is to be held on SUNDAY 14th JUNE at the Ship Ground and will feature a number of Gloucestershire players.

The bar will be open from midday and food will be available throughout the day.

MORE THORNBURY CENTURIONS - 18th of May 2009

This weekends fixtures produced some more excellent performances from Thornbury players as both the 1st and 3rd XI's continued their undefeated starts to the season.

Unfortunately the 2nd XI couldn't make it a clean sweep as they went down to a strong Bath side.

HARRY MOORE HITS SEASONS FIRST TON - 13th of May 2009

Under 15 player Harry Moore hit the clubs first century of the season against Hambrook U-15's in a league game on 5th May.

He ended on 102 not out and shared a mammoth 170 run partnership with Jack Summerfield who ended on an equally impressive 59 not out.

More centuries followed in the weekends senior fixtures....
